Family Self Sufficiency Program – The Family Self
Sufficiency Program is a five year case management program for Public
Housing Residents and Section 8 Participants. The program assists
participants in planning goals for themselves for the next five year which
includes educational goals, employment goals focused on careers, supportive
services needs, and homeownership goals. Increases in rent caused by earned
income after joining the program are placed into a savings account. Once
the participant completes all of their goals, a check in the amount of the
savings account is written to the participant.
