You would be surprised to know that more than 2000 landlords currently provide housing for more than 2400 households through the Housing Authority of the City of Greenville’s Section 8 Housing Voucher Choice Program. Participation in this program benefits both tenants and owners. Consider the following:

1.	Your monthly rental payments are guaranteed. A check is mailed to you by the Authority on or near the first of the month.
2.	Although a federal subsidy is provided to the tenant, the Section 8 program is a private market based program. Rental rates are based upon the local market up to certain maximum limits.
